Stack Quest Terms of Use
Effective 2026-09-10
Stack Quest is a learning app published by Human Quest LLC. By installing or using it you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
What you may do
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Stack Quest on devices you own or control, for learning. You may not resell access, redistribute the course content as your own, or attempt to extract the exercise bank in bulk.
Course material is adapted from SystemDesigner and is licensed CC BY-SA 4.0. That licence governs the content itself and survives these terms.
Free and paid access
The opening units of every course are free, permanently and without an account. Full Access is a subscription that opens every unit of every course, plus the projects.
- Full Access, Monthly — billed monthly.
- Full Access, Yearly — billed yearly, at a lower price per month.
Prices are shown in your local currency in the app before you buy, and are set per country by the App Store and Google Play. The price you see on the purchase screen is the price you pay.
Free trial, billing and renewal
- New subscribers get a 7-day free trial, once per account. Taking a trial on one plan uses it up for both.
- Payment is charged to your App Store or Google Play account when the trial ends, or at confirmation of purchase if you have already used your trial.
- Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period at the same price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
- Cancel any time in your store account: iOS — Settings ▸ your name ▸ Subscriptions. Android — Play Store ▸ Payments and subscriptions ▸ Subscriptions. Cancelling during the free trial costs nothing.
- Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not pro-rate part-periods.
Refunds are handled by the store, not by us. Apple and Google process all payments, and refund requests go through them. We cannot issue a refund for a purchase we never received the money for.
Accounts
You can learn without an account. Signing in with Google or Apple backs your progress up and lets a subscription follow you to a new device. Keep your sign-in secure; you are responsible for what happens under your account. You can delete your account and everything in it from Settings ▸ Delete my data.
The content is not professional advice
Stack Quest teaches software engineering. We work hard on correctness — answers are decided by tests and answer keys, never by a chatbot — but the material is educational. It is not professional, security or legal advice, and we do not promise it will get you a job or pass a specific interview.
Availability and changes
We add and revise course content regularly, and may change or retire features. If we make a change that materially reduces what a paid subscription gives you, we will tell you before your next renewal so you can cancel. We may suspend access for someone abusing the service or breaking these terms.
Liability
The app is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, Human Quest LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
Privacy
What the app stores and the controls you have are described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
